Norman Chui is a Hong Kong actor. He was born on October 16, 1950 and made his acting debut in 1973. Since then, he has appeared in numerous films and television dramas, including “The Dragon Chronicles - The Maidens of Heavenly Mountain” (1994).

In the first part of the 20th Century, China is in a period of internal turmoil – with war raging and the nation divided. Invading Japanese armies threaten to rob the country of priceless cultural relics, while savage monsters also enter the fray, intent on wreaking havoc wherever they can. A young revolutionary named Liu Yun Fei (Liu Yue Tao) is intent on stopping the relics from falling into the wrong hands.

Fortunately, he is not alone. A small gang of disparate but elite martial artists has gathered – all intent on protecting the relics from harm. Their number includes the veteran expert dragon hunter Feng Nan Tian (Norman Chui). Also fighting with the forces of good is Shui Ling Long (Zhao Xue), a skilled, female crossbow-wielding fighter whose aim is unfailingly true. Together, they must do what they can to save the relics. But will they have what it takes to fight not only fierce monsters, but also ruthless soldiers intent on capturing the treasure?

In the last years of the Qing Dynasty, the people of China were devastated by a multitude of troubles, both internally and externally. With the internal political structure of the country in turmoil, it was easy for outside powers to press their advantage, especially those who controlled the sea.&nbsp;

With pirates running rampant on the high seas, the people of China were constantly at the mercy of the ruthless cutthroats. Pillaging and plundering the unprotected coastal villages, the pirates ran unchecked along the coastline. Desperate, the people looked to their leaders for help but none was to be found. Unable to sit by while his people suffered, Su Qi Er (Tan Xin Zer) the leader of a local gang of beggars took it upon himself to help the oppressed. Joined by Chen Xin Yi (Zhao Yi Han), a progressive young woman who couldn’t bear to watch her people suffer, the two formed a mighty militia to stand against the pirates. Little did they know the pirates had secretly joined forces with the fearsome Japanese warrior, Noshaku Yamamoto (Norman Chui).

Crushed by the combined might of the pirates and their Japanese allies, Qi Er and Xin Yi had no choice but to fall back and regroup. With their militia gone, will they find a way to rally the people to their cause, or will their terror of the pirates prove too great to overcome?

Adapted from the novel by Su Can, “Kongfu Master Su” is a 2020 Chinese historical action martial arts film directed by Yang Jian Wu.

Nie Xiao Qian (Eleanor Lee) is part of a group of female ghosts who are bound to serve a cruel spirit that feeds on the souls of men. The siren-like ghosts bring men to their haunted liar, ply them with alcohol, seduce them – and then let the spirit feast on their souls.

This movie is adapted from a novel by Pu Song Ling, which also spawned a 1987 Hong Kong movie version.
