Xuan Zang (Feng Shao Feng), a devout Buddhist monk, embarks on a perilous journey to India in search of holy texts. During his quest, he encounters the Monkey King (Aaron Kwok), who is freed from a 500-year captivity in a cave. Bound by divine intervention, the Monkey King must accompany Xuan Zang, joined by Ba Jie (Xiao Shen Yang), a pig demon. Their mission is threatened by the beautiful and evil Lady White Bone (Gong Li), who seeks to consume Xuan Zang's pure soul to extend her own life. She attempts to sabotage their journey by creating discord among the companions. As they face numerous challenges and Lady White Bone's wicked schemes, the group must remain united to complete their sacred quest. Based on the classic 16th-century novel "Journey to the West," this is a 2018 Chinese fantasy adventure directed by Cheang Pou Soi.
