Zhu Ya Wen is a Chinese actor. Born on April 21, 1981, he made his acting debut in the 2005 television series “Yang Guang Yu Ji.” He has since appeared in many films and television dramas, including the recent “Red Sorghum” (2014), “Say No for Youth” (2015), “Two Families” (2016), “City Still Believe in Love” (2016) and “Across the Ocean to See You” (2017). Zhu Ya Wen married actress Shen Jia Ni in 2013.

The year is 2019 and in the Chinese city of Wuhan, Hubei Province, doctors begin admitting patients who appear to have fallen ill with some kind of disease with symptoms quite unlike any other illness. Perplexed by the outbreak, doctors at front-line healthcare clinics such as the Wuhan Jin Yin Tan Hospital – including Wen Ting (Yuan Quan), Tao Jun (Zhu Ya Wen), Wu Chen Guang (Li Chen), and Zhang Jing Yu (Zhang Han Yu) – find themselves treating hundreds of patients per day, all of whom appear to have fallen ill with the disease.

The illness turns out to be a new form of the coronavirus – later to be dubbed COVID-19. Aware that they are standing firmly in harm’s way as the epidemic balloons into a pandemic that will bring the entire world to its knees, the medics have no choice but to fight the deadly virus head-on...

After rigorous training in 1930s Russia, four Chinese Communist Party agents are set to embark on a mission of utmost importance. With plans to air-drop into the Japanese puppet state of Manchukuo, Zhang Xian Chen (Zhang Yi), Wang Yu (Qin Hai Lu), Chu Liang (Zhu Ya Wen), and Xiao Lan (Liu Hao Cun) set out on a secret mission, code-named “Utrennya.” Tasked with identifying and rescuing a Chinese informer from the brutal Japanese army, the four agents must bring the informer to Harbin. Dropping into a snow-covered Manchukuo forest, the agents are almost immediately separated by forces which seem to have been waiting for their arrival. The year is 1402, the first year of the reign of Yongle, Emperor of the Ming Dynasty.

In a fit of rage one day, the impulsive and ill-tempered Emperor orders the execution of royal physician Jing Qing and his entire family.

All die, save one – Jing Qing’s eldest daughter (Tang Wei) – who is rescued by a nobleman named Sun Zhong. The latter adopts her and names her Sun Ruo Wei.

Just a few months later, though, Zhu Zhan Ji’s father dies suddenly. Zhu Zhan Ji accedes to the throne, becoming the Xuande Emperor.

Despite finding herself in a union with the grandson of the hateful man who took her family’s life, Sun Ruo Wei discovers that the Xuande Emperor is very unlike his grandfather. Little by little, she starts to believe that goodness and perhaps love live within his heart.

When she gives birth to a son – the new Crown Prince – she must also think about how to help him rule, and one day become Emperor in his own right.

Will Sun Ruo Wei forsake her dreams of vengeance for the good of the Empire…and true love? And will her good judgment help secure the future of the dynasty?

It is May 14, 2018, and 100 or so passengers are aboard Airbus flight A319 from Chongqing to Lhasa, Tibet. The aircraft suffers a major blow when the cockpit’s windshield cracks. The pilots radio air traffic control to report on their perilous situation. But then the unthinkable happens – the glass shatters, sending the pressure spiraling throughout the aircraft. The passengers panic, and one of the pilot team is taken out of action, leaving the former air force ace-turned steely nerved veteran captain Liu Chang Jian (Zhang Han Yu) to find a solution to the problem, along with his first mate Liang Dong (Du Jiang). The plane plummets almost 2.5km, and the captain manages to intervene just in time, but the really tough flying is only just getting started.

The aircraft is flying above the Tibetan Himalayas, oxygen reserves are running low and a storm starts to brew outside, making Liu Chang Jian’s seemingly impossible task that bit harder. Pandemonium breaks out among the passengers, but the lead flight attendant Bin Nan (Yuan Quan) is determined to calm their nerves and make them place their trust in her, the crew...and the captain.

Can a blind woman stop a dangerous kidnapper before she becomes his next victim?

Lu Xiao Xing (Yang Mi) is a blind woman. She used to be a rookie cop, but she lost her brother and her sight in a car crash three years ago. When several women in the city begin to disappear without a trace, Xiao Xing asks to be reinstated as a police officer so that she can help with the case. But the blind Xiao Xing is unsuccessful in her bid to return to work as a police officer.

Upset, Xiao Xing calls for a taxi and doesn’t realize that she gets into a luxurious car instead and is offered coffee by the mysterious driver. As Xiao Xing fights the driver over the coffee, the car crashes and Xiao Xing manages to escape in the ensuing chaos. When she goes to Captain Lu (Wang Jing Chun) to report the incident, Xiao Xing is able to recall key details about the car and driver despite being blind. When an impetuous teenager, Lin Chong (Lu Han), comes forward as an eyewitness to the attempted abduction, both Xiao Xing and Captain Lu have a hard time believing his credibility. But can Lin Chong help Xiao Xing track down the mysterious abductor before it’s too late?

“The Witness” is a 2015 Chinese film directed by Ahn Sang Hoon. It is a remake of the 2011 South Korean film “Blind,” which also was directed by Ahn Sang Hoon.
