Wei Chen, or Vision Chen, as he’s also known, is a Chinese singer and actor. He was born on February 22, 1986 in Lanzhou, Gansu, China, and made his debut in the entertainment world in 2007 when he placed third in the Chinese survival reality show, “Super Boy”. In 2008 he made his debut as an actor and has appeared in various films and television shows since, including “Let’s Watch the Meteor Show Again” (2010) and “Fleet of Time” (2014).

During the Second Sino-Japanese War, Imperial Japanese forces occupy Chinese territories, facing constant resistance from fighters led by veteran Hong (Zhang Han Yu). Operating from a railway yard in Lincheng, Hong works with double agent Old Wang (Fan Wei) and nurse Zhuang Yan (Zhou Ye) to disrupt Japanese supply lines and support mountain-based guerilla combatants. As they target trains carrying crucial resources, the Japanese dispatch a skilled investigator to protect a significant weapons cache. The resistance fighters must use their strategic skills and courage to intercept the weapons and continue their fight against colonial oppression. This is a 2021 Chinese war drama directed by Yang Feng.

Railway Heroes

In this anthology of seven short films, directors explore modern China's history from the 1940s to the 2010s, featuring pivotal moments that shaped the nation. The stories range from an engineer organizing a national ceremony to a love-struck nuclear scientist, and include a young boy helping his neighborhood watch an Olympic volleyball match. Later segments cover significant events like the Hong Kong handover, the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and a military parade commemorating the end of the Sino-Japanese War. Each film captures a unique slice of Chinese life, featuring performances by actors like Song Jia (Song Jia) and Ou Hao (Ou Hao).
