Wei Chen, or Vision Chen, as he’s also known, is a Chinese singer and actor. He was born on February 22, 1986 in Lanzhou, Gansu, China, and made his debut in the entertainment world in 2007 when he placed third in the Chinese survival reality show, “Super Boy”. In 2008 he made his debut as an actor and has appeared in various films and television shows since, including “Let’s Watch the Meteor Show Again” (2010) and “Fleet of Time” (2014).

During the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937-1945), Imperial Japanese forces have taken charge of swathes of Chinese land. However, the would-be colonial powers are blighted by resistance fighters who have targetted trains carrying food, ammunition, and other supplies to the Japanese army. The fighters are a rag-tag group of railway workers and miners, and are led by the veteran Hong (Zhang Han Yu). Securing supplies for mountain-based guerilla combatants is a must in the resistance movement.

Hong’s operation operates out of a railway yard in Lincheng. But with the aid of the linguist and double agent Old Wang (Fan Wei) and the nurse Zhuang Yan (Zhou Ye), he starts making breakthroughs. This all sparks the ire of the Imperial Japanese, however, who dispatch a crack investigator to ensure that a huge stash of weapons reaches its intended target. Will Hong manage to intercept the cache’s passage through China – or will the fiendishly clever uncover the secret operation?

“Railway Heroes” is a 2021 Chinese movie that was directed by Yang Feng.

Railway Heroes

In a compilation of seven short films, seven directors explore the history of modern China and its people, going back to the 1940s and the aftermath of World War II, on the eve of the birth of the People’s Republic of China, through to the 1960s, the 1980s, the 1990s, and finally the 2010s, with stars like Song Jia and Ou Hao making appearances.

The first film focuses on an engineer struggling to organize a ceremony to mark the birth of the nation and the second tells the story of a love-sick nuclear scientist. In the third film, a young boy does what he can to help his neighborhood watch the gold medal match of the women’s volleyball competition in the 1984 Olympic Games.

The remaining films focus on more recent events, including two groups of people preparing for the handover of Hong Kong by the British colonial government in 1997. There is another Olympic story in a film about events surrounding the 2008 Olympics, which were held in Beijing, as a taxi driver decides to gift a ticket he had bought for his own son to another boy.

In the sixth film, two homeless boys watch a spectacular space mission in the 2010s. And in the final film, a female air force pilot attempts to ensure that a military parade to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second Sino-Japanese War goes off without a hitch

“My People, My Country” is a 2019 Chinese movie that was directed by Chen Kai Ge,&nbsp;Zhang Yi Bai,&nbsp;Guan Hu,&nbsp;Xue Xiao Lu,&nbsp;Xu Zheng,&nbsp;Ning Hao, and Wen Mu Ye.
