Nie Yuan is a Chinese actor. Born on March 17, 1978, he launched his acting career in 1997 while still attending the Shanghai Theater Academy. He has enjoyed a prolific career in both television dramas and films since. Some of his recent credits include the dramas “Hidden Dragon” (2018) and “Story of Yanxi Palace” (2018). Nie Yuan was married to actress Yang Guang from 2008 to 2012. He married actress Qin Zi Yue in 2014.

The year is 1627, and China is in the last days of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). In the late second century BCE, the Han Dynasty is beginning to crumble.
