Ni Da Hong is an award-winning Chinese actor. He was born in Harbin, Heilongjiang, China, on November 3, 1960 and made his acting debut in 1984. Since then, he has appeared in countless films and television dramas, including “The Great Protector” (2014) and “Octogenarians and the 90s” (2021).

Aged 39, Yang Guang (Chen Xiao), has been treading water for years. He is the host of a radio show that involves people making frank emotional confessions, and the show has been on the airwaves for over 15 years, with him behind the microphone the whole time. The job has become formulaic for him, and has left him somewhat numb to real-world emotions. His work and his past, also tinged with unhappiness, have left him unable to communicate sincerely with other people, both at the radio station and in his private life.

But he gets a rude awakening when a new show threatens to consign his program to the scrapheap. Instead of giving in, he digs in and decides to revamp his show, switching focus – a process that makes him face his own problems for the very first time. Things get even trickier for him when a lawyer named Liao Wang (Wang Xiao Chen) claiming to represent his mother turns up. Liao Wang drags him into a property dispute – and forces him to face up to family issues he’s been sweeping under the carpet for decades!

After rigorous training in 1930s Russia, four Chinese Communist Party agents are set to embark on a mission of utmost importance.
