Adachi Rika is a Japanese actress born in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan, on October 16, 1992. She debuted in 2008, appearing in the movie “Love Center,” as well as the TV drama series “Scrap Teacher.” She has since gone on to appear in movie titles such as "Say I Love You" (2014) and “Ghost Theater” (2015). She also played a major role in “Welcome to Our Home” (2015), and more recently starred in “In Time With You” (2019).

Mitari Yo (Adachi Rika) is a manager at a company that makes shoes, while Ishida Ren (Shirasu Jin) works in urban redevelopment. 

They have been best friends for years, and their close platonic friendship dates back to their high school days.

But on Mitari Yo’s 29th birthday, they make a fateful wager – whoever marries first will receive a 300,000 yen (approx USD 2,780) cash gift from the other, providing the wedding takes place before Mitari Yo turns 31.

However, the duo soon discovers that love can be very unpredictable – and that Cupid can strike at the most unexpected moment.

In the 1980s, Ayuko (Yuki Mio) is a high school girl who moves to Okayama from Tokyo, transferring to a local school. Ayuko spends her free time drawing comic strips featuring her “boyfriend.” Takemi takes an interest in these, and eventually the two girls become very close friends. But what brought them together could eventually cause them to part – the two have a bitter dispute over a matter at the heart of the comic...and eventually part. Now, 30 years later, Ayuko (now played by Shirahane Yuri) has become a celebrated professional manga artist. She is invited to return to her old high school to speak to the students. But, at the event, she is suddenly reunited with Takemi (now played by Kei Aran), who has gone on to become a teacher at the school. Will their friendship rekindle after all this time?
