Kang Dong Won is an award-winning South Korean actor. Born on January 18, 1981, he was discovered by a modeling agent when he was in his first year of college. He discovered his passion for acting after appearing in singer Jo Sung Mo’s music video for his song “I Swear.” He made his acting debut in the 2003 television drama “Country Princess” and “1% of Anything,” which brought him his first of many Best New Actor awards. But it was the 2004 film “Temptation of Wolves” that shot him to fame. He also has appeared in the popular films “My Brilliant Life” (2014), “Vanishing Time: A Boy Who Returned” (2016) and “Golden Slumber” (2018).

As a professional con man, Cheon is understandably shocked when he takes a job in a remote village and finds himself face-to-face with a little girl who is genuinely possessed by a supernatural being. When a zombie outbreak occurs in South Korea, it takes less than a day for the entire country to be overwhelmed by a ravenous horde. Unable to explain the outbreak and equally unable to stop it, the rest of the world can only sit by and watch in horror as the entire Korean peninsula is overrun. To prevent the spread of infection, the nations of the world agree that the only thing to do is quarantine South Korea, permanently. Scrambling to escape the zombies before the borders are closed for good, the uninfected desperately attempt to fight their way out. Among those trying to escape are Marine Captain Jung Seok (Kang Dong Won) and his family. Despite his years of public service, Jung Seok is so intent on escaping that he leaves a desperately struggling Min Jung (Lee Jung Hyun) and her family behind.

Four years later, Jung Seok and his brother-in-law, Chul Min (Kim Do Yoon), are still haunted by the terrors of their harrowing escape. Riddled with guilt and looking for a chance at redemption, Jung Seok and Chul Min agree to return to South Korea on a mission to retrieve a very valuable piece of property for a group of Chinese mobsters. Despite the fact that this mission borders on suicidal, the two readily agree to take the job. Now back in Korea once more, Chul Min and Jung Seok quickly learn that zombies aren’t the only ones inhabiting this apocalyptic wasteland.

Chased by zombies and hunted by a rogue militia group, Jung Seok and Chul Min’s chances of survival quickly dwindle. Only with the help of those they abandoned four years ago do they stand a chance of getting off this zombie-plagued peninsula alive.

A standalone sequel to “Train to Busan” (2016), “Peninsula” is a 2020 zombie action-horror film directed by Yeon Sang Ho.

Dolmuchi (Ha Jung Woo) is a butcher, which is considered the lowest class, in the Joseon Dynasty. In a society where a person’s status is purely determined by his or her birth, Jo Yoon (Kang Dong Won) is born into a wealthy family. But because his mother was a concubine, Jo Yoon’s illegitimacy gives him no standing in society or his family.

Jo Yoon hires Dolmuchi to kill the pregnant wife of his dead stepbrother so that he can become a legitimate heir, but when Dolmuchi is not able to go through with the killing, Jo Yoon has Dolmuchi’s family killed instead.

The devastated Dolmuchi takes on the name Dochi and joins Ttaeng Choo (Lee Kyung Young) and Dae Ho (Lee Sung Min) in a band of outlaws known as Kundo. The bandits go after wealthy tyrants who prey on the poor by stealing from the rich and giving back to the poor. But can Dochi avenge his family’s death when he comes face-to-face with Jo Yoon again?

Cho In (Kang Dong Won) is a man with an incredible secret power – he can seize control of people’s minds and force them to do his bidding.

But one day he meets his match when he strolls into a pawn shop intent on stealing cash – and comes face to face with an employee named Kyu Nam (Go Soo). Rather than bend to Cho In’s will, Kyu Nam fights back, although the pawnshop owner is killed and Cho In escapes.

Kyu Nam, who has formed a close relationship with the owner’s daughter, plans to avenge his ex-boss’ death – and enlists the help of his friends as he tries to stop put an end to the dangerous mind-controlling Cho In’s malicious schemes.

Lee Han Gyu (Song Kang Ho) is a National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent. He is charged with heading a team with an important mission: It must protect a North Korean dissident – the cousin of Pyongyang’s leader. But six years later, the two men’s paths cross once again, with Lee Han Gyu now working as a private detective. The latter offers Ji Won the chance to live with him and join forces in a business arrangement. But will this uneasy partnership pay dividends for either man? And can they really trust one another?
