Kangin is the stage name of Kim Young Woon, a South Korean singer and actor. Born on January 17, 1985, he is best known as being a member of the South Korean boy band Super Junior. Kangin first debuted with the Super Junior 05 project group, which was the predecessor to the current Super Junior, in 2005. Soon after his debut, Kangin became a popular guest on variety shows, television appearances and host of fan meetings and entertainment shows, earning him the distinction of having the highest salary of all Super Junior members. After serving his mandatory military service from 2010 to 2012, Kangin rejoined Super Junior after a three-year hiatus and resumed his hosting activities with “Show Champion” and “A Song for You” in 2014.
