Lee Sun Gyun is a popular South Korean actor. Born on March 2, 1975, he began his career in musical theater and struggled in minor television roles for many years. After he acted in a one-act drama, he met TV director Lee Yoon Jung, who later cast him in her series “Coffee Prince” in 2007. The role helped him launch his career and gain mainstream popularity. He went on to star in many popular television dramas, including “Triple” (2009), “Pasta” (2010), “Golden Time” (2012), “Miss Korea” (2013) and “My Wife Is Having an Affair This Week” (2016). His leading role in the film “Paju” garnered him the Best Actor award at the 11th Las Palmas de Gran Canaria International Film Festival in Spain in 2010. Lee Sun Gyun married actress Jeon Hye Jin in 2009 and they have two sons.

In South Korea in the early 1960s, Seo Chang Dae (Lee Sun Gyun) is a pharmacist who dreams of escaping his job and becoming a political strategist. Kim Woon Beom (Sol Kyung Gu), meanwhile, is a struggling politician for the opposition left-wing political party. Both he and his party are experiencing hard times – in the wake of the Korean War (1950-1953), the country is bitterly opposed to left-wingers, branding them all “communists” who want to “betray” the country to the North Korean government. But Seo Chang Dae approaches Kim Woon Beom and explains to him that if he is prepared to fight dirty, he could win political power. Being a prosecutor is not all glamorous work – busting international crime rings and bringing crooked politicians to justice, as Cha Myung Joo (Jung Ryeo Won) soon discovers!

She was once the rising star of her department, working at a central prosecutors’ office, dealing with newsworthy cases. But now she has been transferred to a small branch office in a provincial town, where her daily work is far more mundane!
