With a career rapidly on the rise, NIS agent, Tae Joo (Lee Sung Min) has made a name for himself as one of the best of the best. Eager to gain his next promotion, Tae Joo volunteers to take on a mission to protect a very special Chinese guest. Little does he know, his VIP charge is a pampered panda named Ming-Ming. Terrified of animals, Tae Joo is less than thrilled by his newest assignment but he pushes aside his fear in order to get the job done.

A fairly easy mission, things should have gone smoothly but when Ming-Ming is kidnapped by an international terrorist organization things get wildly out of hand. In pursuit of the criminals, Tae Joo is rendered unconscious. Eventually coming-to, he quickly learns that he now possesses the ability to talk to animals.&nbsp;

Unable to find any human witnesses to the crime, Tae Joo turns to the only ones who might be able to help him: the animal residents of the local zoo. Finally finding a lead to go on, Tae Joo soon realizes his best bet for solving the case is to team up with a retired military dog named Ali. Determined to find the missing panda, the unlikely partners will stop at nothing to track down the criminals and ensure Ming-Ming is returned home safely.

A wild and wacky romp, “Mr. Zoo: The Missing VIP” is a 2020 crime comedy film directed by Kim Tae Yoon.
