Herstory

Hopelessly stuck in a dreary life, Dong Goo (Jo Dong Hyuk) eaks out a meager living working at a job agency. In serious debt to a rather unsavory group of characters, Dong Goo is constantly being hounded by low-level thugs who’ve come to collect their boss’ money. With no way of paying the gang boss back, Dong Goo knows it’s only a matter of time before these thugs find other ways to collect what they’re owed.

As luck would have it, Dong Goo finds himself stumbling upon a bankbook which belongs to that very same gang boss. With over a billion won in the ledger, Dong Goo sees this fortunate find as a way to turn his entire life around. There’s just one problem: he has no idea what the account’s PIN might be. Fortunately, he knows someone who does. Traveling to Busan, Dong Goo seeks out his first love, Ae Sook (Hong Ah Reum), but when he gets there, he finds her unconscious. Unsure what to do next, fate smiles upon Dong Goo once again as it leads him to&nbsp;cross paths with Ae Sook’s son, Bok Ki (Jo Won Bin), and his grandmother, Geum Soon (Lee Yong Nyeo).&nbsp;

Convinced Dong Goo is his father, Bok Ki invites him to stay with them while he’s in town. Seeing this as a convenient way to get the information he needs, Dong Goo accepts.
