Ock Joo Hyun is a South Korean singer and musical theater actress. Born on March 20, 1980, she launched her career in 1998 as the lead singer for the popular K-pop girl group Fin.K.L, which was active from 1998 to 2002 and 2005 to 2008. Outside of the girl group, she has enjoyed a successful solo music career and also gained fame as a radio DJ, a member of various variety shows, and with her yoga fitness ventures. But starting in 2008, Ock Joo Hyun has enjoyed tremendous success as a musical theater actress, winning numerous awards for her starring roles in such big-hit productions as “AIDA,” “Chicago,” “Monte Cristo,” “Das Musical: Elisabeth,” “Rebecca” and “Wicked.”
