Maeng Gong Hee, a contract designer at Jayce Group, possesses a survival instinct inherited from her strong mother and former police officer father, making her a rare wild woman in modern society. After winning the Jayce Fashion contest, she finally joins the company of her dreams, and everything seems to be going well. However, her peaceful life is disrupted when her childhood friend Gu Dan Soo suddenly moves in as her rooftop neighbor. Dan Soo, who was born rich, had to hide away with his poor mother, whom his grandmother didn't see as a suitable daughter-in-law. He spent a happy childhood next door to Gong Hee but everything changed when his mother left him. His wandering life led him to be taken in by his grandmother, who subjected him to harsh training to prepare him as the heir of their wealthy family. Eventually, Dan Soo finds his way back to Gong Hee's rooftop room. Reunited as adults, can they tap into the warmth of their childhood memories to find happiness again?

The KBS Drama Special is back as always in 2022. From a suspenseful psychological thriller about desire starring young actors to a fantasy story where villains are punished with a superpower to a heart-warming coming-of-age drama about ballet to a story about a 19-year-old being lost and in love for the first time to the romance among COVID-19 patients in the isolated ward to a story about a man who is serious about panties and life to a frolicsome, touching romantic comedy and to the last episode set in a military base, this year's drama special is coming back with eight one-act dramas full of vibrant charms, commemorating the 38th anniversary.

Grandmother Wang (Heo Jin) is fabulously rich, but is suffering from dementia. Bo Young (Park Ha Na), a young mother, knows that Grandmother Wang has a collection of expensive jewelry. Mrs. Wang’s isolated, decaying mansion is situated deep in the countryside, next to a lake. Bo Young is struggling financially and hatches a plan to gain access to the mansion...and make away with the jewelry.

She does so by posing as a caregiver to Grandmother Wang, and gaining the trust of Mother Kim (Jeong Young Joo), Grandmother Wang’s only living relative. Mother Kim says she will hire Bo Young to work in the house – but warns her not to bring anyone “especially a child” with her. Bo Young dismisses these warnings as superstitious nonsense and sneaks her daughter into the house regardless. But when horrific things begin to happen at the house – and the lake – Bo Young begins to worry for her child’s safety...

Eight years later, after serving the prison sentence and still affiliated with the gang, Tae San runs into In Hye and finds out that she never got the abortion and that his daughter, Soo Jin, is in desperate need of a bone marrow transplant. Apparently, In Hye is not a match. Luckily, Tae San turns out to be a perfect match. He decides to save his daughter's life and schedules the operation to occur in two weeks when suddenly he is placed under arrest for the death of two detectives.
