Nakatani Miki is a Japanese actress, model, and singer who was born on January 12, 1976, in Tokyo, Japan. After debuting as a member of the pop group Key West Club, she transitioned into movie and TV drama acting in the mid-1990s. She went on to appear in the drama “It’s Not That I Can’t Marry. I Don’t Marry” (2016) and the more recent movie “The Legend & Butterfly” (2023).

For many, Christmas Eve is a time for joy and celebration; it’s a day for lovers and dreamers, magic and miracles. But when Seiji Suguroji (Ninomiya Kazunari) wakes at a Yamashita warf in Yokohama to find a gunshot victim lying dead in front of him, Christmas Eve turns into a very real nightmare.

Miyabi Tachibana (Nakatani Miki) is a successful dermatologist 39-year-old who runs a skincare clinic. She is confident and beautiful, but has not had a boyfriend for five years – although she actually quite enjoys being single. When she attends a school reunion, however, she is overwhelmed by the amount of pity she receives from her former classmates due to the fact that she isn’t married and doesn’t have a boyfriend.

This incident leaves her feeling disoriented and somewhat bitter about the comments she heard. Later, she goes to a meeting held in a restaurant where she talks about what happened at the school reunion. But to her surprise, the eatery’s chef-owner Seiji (Naohito Fujiki) states that Miyabi Tachibana isn’t attractive to most men. This comment makes her angry, but also gets her thinking. She decides to seek out his advice in a bid to change her image. But will this decision lead her to love...or disappointment?

This drama was based on a 2014 novel by Keiya Mizuno.
