Takeuchi Yuko was a Japanese actress who was born on 1 April 1980, in Urawa, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. She debuted in 1996 and went on to appear in a number of hit movies and dramas, including the international hit “Ring” (1998) and the 2004 movie “Be With You.” She also played the lead and title character in the 2018 drama series “Miss Sherlock.” She died in 2020 at the age of 40.

Takeuchi Yuko

Takumi (Nakamura Shido) is devastated after his wife Mio (Takeuchi Yuko) dies suddenly, leaving him struggling to care for their six-year-old son. Overwhelmed by grief and health issues, Takumi finds solace in a children's book Mio gave their son about a star that vanishes and returns during the rainy season. Miraculously, Takumi and his son encounter a woman who looks exactly like Mio in the woods, but she has no memory of her past life or her family. As Takumi begins to recount their love story, he hopes to help her remember, but questions remain about whether this is truly his deceased wife or something more mysterious. The film explores the boundaries between memory, love, and loss as Takumi tries to reconnect with the woman who looks like his beloved Mio. This is a 2004 Japanese romantic drama directed by Nobuhiro Doi, based on a novel by Takuji Ichikawa.
