Eri Tokunaga is a Japanese actress, born on May 9, 1988. She won 'Best New Actress' at the 20th Film Critics Awards as well as the 'Sponichi Grand Prix Newcomer Award' at the 65th Mainichi Film Awards. In 2015 and 2016, she starred in 'A Girl's Breakfast.'

Spreading the “Breakfast Girl Movement”!

Four ladies have been friends since they were classmates in high school. Now as working women, they do breakfasts to reflect on their love life, lifestyle, and their own self. Although life is a bumpy road, they keep moving forward as optimistically as they can. This is a drama that depicts their personal growth as they discover themselves.

One works a corporate job, one works at night, another is an instructor, and the fourth is a wife and mother... whether it's at work or at home, they each have their own struggles. This is a depiction of life stories that hit close to home and ring true for a great number of women who face their own problems and grow along the way.

Supplements, sweets, and canned coffee. Such is the breakfast of Mariko Sato (Reina Triendl), who has been living with her boyfriend for seven years. They started living together thinking that they could enjoy breakfast every morning with lots of love and smiles.
Mariko rarely sees her high school friends, but one morning, they get together to talk about her boyfriend issues. Over breakfast, she decides to break up with him so she can find a new "Mariko."

And so her days of having ideal breakfasts begin. Noriko, Risa, and Shiori discover that they too can do something about their problems. Follow these four ladies as they face their various problems and grow, all the while enjoying delicious breakfasts.

Raised in Hokkaido by her mother, Sae Hirasawa (Yui Aragaki) has big dreams and she’s not afraid to do whatever it takes to make those dreams come true. A hard-working high school student, Sae is determined to pass her college entrance exams, no matter what. Even when an unexpected incident on the train attempts to derail her plans for taking the college exams, she finds a way to keep going, with a little help from her newfound friend, Kouhei Kiuchi (Toma Ikuta).

A fellow high school student on his way to take his college entrance exams, Kouhei and Sae hit it off almost immediately&nbsp;After letting Sae talk him into a horribly doomed plan to get to their exams on time, the two become fast friends. Supporting each other through the years, their feelings of friendship naturally grew into something more, but every time they tried to get closer, something always found a way to keep them apart. Taking very different paths in life, Sae and Kouhei eventually go their separate ways, but no matter how far apart they go, fate always seems to find a way to bring them back together.

Ten years later, Sae and Kouhei have settled into very different lives but even when it seems like they’re destined to be apart for good, fate decides to unite them once again. Will this final meeting bring them together for good, or will it drive them apart once and for all?
