Hiroshi Tamaki is a Japanese actor, singer, and model. He was born in Nagoya, Japan, on January 14, 1980, and made his debut in the entertainment industry in 2004, with the release of his first single, “Seasons”. In 2006, he made his debut as an actor, taking his first role in a television drama. Since then, he has released a number of singles and several albums, and has appeared in a wide variety of films and television dramas, including “Heavenly Forest” (2006).

In the late second century BCE, the Han Dynasty is beginning to crumble. The ruthless minister Cao Cao (Chow Yun Fat) has effectively seized control of the government after traveling to the east of the realm to bring a fearsome warlord to heel. The Han Emperor is now a mere puppet, and Cao Cao has himself named the King of the Wei. He then proceeds to build a magnificent structure called the Bronze Bird Terrace to showcase his power to the whole of China. But his tyrannical rule is not to everyone’s liking. Plots start to hatch at every turn, with many hoping to unseat Cao Cao before he can declare himself Emperor.

Into this chaotic court are cast two young lovers Mu Shun (Hiroshi Tamaki) and Ling Ju (Liu Yi Fei). The former becomes a court eunuch, while the latter Cao Cao takes as an imperial consort. But Cao Cao is unaware that this duo has a romantic – and tragic past. Orphaned by Cao Cao’s past cruelties, they were recruited as part of secret, revenge-filled plot to infiltrate Cao Cao’s inner circle...and kill him. Their mission is nothing if not perilous, however. And if the tyrant discovers the truth about the couple, great horrors could unfold for them!

Many years ago in Japan, Shinichi Chiaki (Hiroshi Tamaki) and Megumi “Nodame” Noda (Juri Ueno) met at university. The former was a demanding perfectionist who dreamed of becoming a top conductor, and the latter was a sloppy pianist with natural talent but no affinity for learning. They never expected to become lovers, but Cupid had other plans for them. Eventually, and in spite of their very different personalities, they became a couple.

Chiaki’s career has taken him to France, where he is starting to make a name for himself. Nodame is also in France, where she is studying at a prestigious conservatory. But cracks are starting to appear in their relationship. Chiaki wonders if he should have let Nodame live a happier life in Japan, away from the stuffiness and strictly ordered world of European classical music. And Nodame also wonders if she should step back and let Chiaki shine without having to worry about her. But each of them still clings to the secret dream of performing onstage together. Could this – and their long-held feelings for one another – help love prevail in the “final act” of their love story?

This film was based on a popular 2001 manga series named “Nodame Cantabile” that also inspired a hit 20206 live-action series and a 2014 South Korean remake. The film is the sequel to 2009’s “Nodame Cantabile: The Movie 1.”

After winning a highly prestigious music competition, he is appointed as the conductor of a French orchestra – ahead of a major performance. But when he arrives to check on the orchestra’s condition, he is shocked to find the entire outfit in disarray. Nodame, who fears that Chiaki’s new project will tear him away from her, vows to help him. The orchestra’s first performance is disastrous, and now Chiaki and Nodame must find a way to turn its fate around. Will they succeed – or will Chiaki’s big moment end in disappointment?

Makoto (Hiroshi Tamaki) wasn’t quite sure what to expect, his first day as a university student, but meeting Shizuru (Aoi Miyazaki) certainly hadn’t been part of his plans. Meeting at their university entrance ceremony, Shizuru and Makoto just clicked. Usually shy and withdrawn, Makoto was never one to open up with others but there was something about the way Shizuru made him feel... For the first time ever, he felt like he could actually be himself around her and the two soon became fast friends.

Sharing a love of photography, Makoto and Shizuru often visited a nearby forest to take pictures. Spending time together, Shizuru’s feelings for Makoto naturally began to deepen, unfortunately his heart already belonged to someone else. Realizing Makoto only had eyes for their classmate, Miyuki (Meisa Kuroki), Shizuru accepted her fate and even went so far as to befriend Miyuki. Though she did warn Makoto that someday, she was going to become a true beauty and when that day came, he was going to regret having ever rejected her. Despite everything, the three became the best of friends, so when Shizuru asked Makoto for his help with a photograph for a competition, he readily agreed. Heading to their favorite spot in the forest, Makoto and Shizuru set up the shot Shizuru envisioned. Sharing their one and only kiss, Shizuru captured the moment on film, well aware that it held no meaning for Makoto. After thanking her friend for his help, Shizuru walked away, completely disappearing from his life.

Years later, Makoto receives a call from his long-lost friend, inviting him to the opening of her photography exhibition but when he arrives, he’s shocked by what he finds. Realizing only too late, exactly what he lost the day Shizuru left, he begins to wonder if he will ever have a chance to make things right.

Based on the novel, “Collage of Our Life - Another Story” by Takuji Ichikawa, “Heavenly Forest” is a 2006 romance film directed by Takehiko Shinjo.
