Takeda Kouhei is a Japanese actor, TV personality, and model who was born in Tokyo, Japan, on January 14, 1986. He debuted in 2001 and has appeared in numerous drama series titles, such as “Hotel Concierge” in 2015 and the more recent “Old Fashion Cupcake” (2022).

Nozue (Takeda Kouhei) is a 39-year-old office worker. He is also decidedly stuck in a rut. Life has become mundane. His career is going nowhere fast, and he has never had thoughts about getting married. The grind of this mundane and grey way of life has taken its toll on him and depression is setting in. Another thorn in his side is Togawa (Kimura Tatsunari), his 29-year-old office junior. Despite the fact that Togawa is the older man’s subordinate, he is cold and unpleasant with Nozue.

However, deep down, Togawa actually has a strong sense of respect for his senior – and even feels romantic attraction toward him. Fate intervenes when one day, they both end up in a pancake shop that is a hotspot for young, attractive women. They end up spending more time together at this unusual venue – and starting to enjoy one another’s company more and more. At first, Nozue is confused by Togawa’s sudden attempts to make him happy. But little by little, the duo starts to hear Cupid’s call. Could true love be on the horizon for them?

This drama was based on a manga novel of the same name by Sagan Sagan that was released in 2021.

Young, beautiful, and wealthy, Rina Aizawa (Hotta Akane) has what many believe is the perfect life. The envy of everyone she meets, Rina should have nothing to complain about, and yet, she can’t seem to find happiness in her current life.&nbsp;

Constantly wondering what might have been, Rina spends an inordinate amount of time reminiscing about her school days and her former classmate, Ren Ichijo (Izumisawa Yuuki). Coincidentally, Rina and Ren are reunited when they both take a job at the same company. With years separating them and rumors of Rina being recently engaged, Ren has no thoughts of pursuing the girl he once knew. Even so, he can’t deny the fact that he has often thought of the lovely girl he once was able to call friend.&nbsp;

Though they never managed to move from friends to friendlier while they were in school, neither can deny that reuniting has stirred some long-forgotten feelings. Given the chance to catch up, all these years later, will Rina and Ren finally be able to move from friendship to love or will they forever hover someplace in between?
