Taichi Saotome is a Japanese actor who was born on September 24, 1991. He began acting in the early 2000s, appearing in movies such as “Zatoichi” (2003) and “Shabake” (2007). More recently, he has appeared in drama series titles, such as “Don’t Call it Mystery” (2022) and “Roppongi Class” (2022), as well as the film “Last of the Wolves” (2021).

To most people, Eiji Urashima (Ryosuke Yamada) seems like a pretty typical university student. He goes to class, studies when he should, and has fun hanging out with his friends. But what most people don’t know is that Eiji is the son of a serial killer.

Known for murdering female university students in horrendous ways, Eiji’s father has built quite a reputation for himself. As much as Eiji abhors what his father does, there’s nothing he can do to stop him. As if being the son of a serial killer wasn’t bad enough, Eiji often suffers from memory blackouts, and they seem to be getting worse. When Arata Miyabe (Ryoma Takeuchi)’s father dies, he decides to take revenge on the family that runs Japan’s largest restaurant franchise. That family is the power behind the Nagaya Holdings business group. And this same family has made his life a misery for years: While the younger generation bullied him mercilessly at school, the older generation destroyed his father.

Part of Arata Miyabe’s plan involves launching a restaurant in the upscale Roppongi area of Tokyo. In order to make the restaurant a success, he hires a number of young and talented staff members, including Asamiya Aoi (Yurina Hirate), the new restaurant’s manager. She starts to develop feelings for Arata Miyabe, but so deep is his focus on revenge that he – initially does not notice. As the restaurant begins to gain popularity, Arata Miyabe will soon find himself at a crossroads. But which path will he ultimately choose?
This drama was based on the South Korean web-based cartoon “Itaewon Class,” which also spawned a hit South Korean drama series of the same name.

The beheaded corpse of a man is found in Tokyo. His body appears to have been cut with an almost impossibly sharp blade. But there is one baffling detail about this case: There is no sign of blood around the cut. A young and ambitious female news reporter named Mio Sanjo (Mai Fukagawa) tries to get to the bottom of the case – only to witness a horrific plume of what looks like filthy black dust gushing from the wound. The police officers cannot see this dust, but Mio Sanjo knows that her eyes are not deceiving her...

She soon learns that two mysterious men named Kakeru Osagami (Saotome Taichi) and Sho Iotsu (Endo Yuya) can also “see” this black filth – and have a very keen interest in it! He has a deadly quest: Hunting down these so-called “filth blades,” which have been forged from human evil and can corrupt the souls of those who wield them. But with every blade he neutralizes, Kakeru Osagami absorbs some of the “filth.” Can he wipe out all of the blades before the “filth” consumes him?
