Shono Hayama is a Japanese actor. He was born in Osaka, Japan, on December 19, 1995, and made his acting debut in 2011. Since then, he has appeared in numerous films and television dramas, including “Frankenstein’s Love” (2017), “Today’s Kira-kun” (2017), and “Fugitive Boys” (2017).

Togoku Kyosui (Nozomu Kotaki) is the owner and manager of Rokuhodo, a traditional Japanese tea house. A tender-hearted soul with a fondness, his tea-making skills are without equal. But he struggles with making tasty food to complement his brews – so decides to enlist the help of some kindred souls to make Rokuhodo a success. He turns to his old school friend and talented cook Tokitaka Nagae (Shono Hayama) to help out in the kitchen.

Also helping out at the tea house is Gregorio “Gure” Valentino (Saeki Daichi), a masterful coffee expert who learned his trade in Italy. Rounding out their number is the shy buy incredibly talented pastry chef Tsubaki Nakao (Ryusei Onishi). Clad in their kimonos, they make a very distinctive team – and are always at hand to listen to their customers’ troubles, even offering some helpful advice along the way. But while fixing other people’s problems is important, so is trying to resolve their own personal issues!

The drama was based on a long-running manga series of the same name that debuted in 2013 and was authored by Yu Shimizu.

An incredibly introverted individual, Ninon struggles to communicate with anyone other than her family and her pet parrot, who offers her a fair amount of emotional support by remaining perched on her shoulder day in and day out. Ridiculed for her bird and her quiet nature, Ninon might very well have spent the entirety of her high school career under attack, had not her classmate and neighbor, Yuiji Kira (Taishi Nakagawa), unexpectedly intervened.

Easily the most handsome and popular boy in school, Yuiji spent his high school days harassing other students and dating any girl who happened to catch his eye. But beneath his cool exterior, Yuiji was desperately lonely. Suffering from a serious heart disease, Yuiji has only a year left to live but he refuses to tell anyone of his grim fate. When Ninon’s parents tell her Yuiji’s secret by mistake, she takes it upon herself to befriend her dying neighbor.&nbsp;

Despite her young age, high school student, Tsubaki Hibino (Emi Takei) is a whiz when it comes to styling hair. Able to turn the most drab hair into something amazing, Tsubaki is never happier than when she’s working on transforming someone else’s look. But when it comes to her own hair, Tsubaki never feels confident enough to even try.&nbsp;

Suffering from woefully low self-esteem, Tsubaki doesn’t really feel like she fits in anywhere, especially at school. With her drab hair and old-fashioned clothes, she is frequently teased and tormented by her classmates; the worst of them being Kyota Tsubaki (Tori Matsuzaka), the class’s unofficial leader and notorious playboy. Delighting in tormenting Tsubaki, Kyota teases her incessantly and the rest of the class follows. But things take an unexpected turn when Kyota decides to ask Tsubaki out and she inexplicably says yes.

Polar opposites, Tsubaki and Kyota’s relationship should have been doomed from the start but what begins as a joke soon turns into something else entirely. Could it be possible this unlikely pair is exactly what the other needed?
